We filmed outside Mount Carmel because even though we were unable to film inside we still wanted the film to have some type of shots of the high school as the title of our film is 'HIGH SCHOOL from hell.' In addition, most of our group attended the high school and had experienced 5 years and during those 5 years we had seen people who experienced bullying and fit the mean girl stereotypes so it felt more natural filming in that habitat. We wanted our audience to feel what we felt when watching other individuals going through bullying.
We filmed in the park as we thought that it would complement our main plot well. Also, we knew that we would be able to film some very good angles in that specific park. Furthermore, the park was very empty the majority of times, especially school hours therefore we did not have to worry about bothering others.
Lastly, we filmed in an estate because a lot of crimes seem to happen in an estate so we figured that it would be a perfect spot for us to do the scene where the mean girls physically attack Tom. The estate also had a variety of good location shots. I would say that the estate was the most difficult location to film as people live there so we had to be aware of our surroundings and make sure that we were not disturbing anyone.
Overall, the location shots were a success and helped show to the audience the different flashbacks.
